A series of concerts are due to be held at Christ Church in Shaw, starting with a barber shop-style quartet performing on Friday 30th May.
Starting at 7.30pm, this brand-new ensemble of four professional musicians, Alex, George, Josh and Chris, will be entertaining the audience with classic barbershop repertoire as well as more traditional music and a selection of instrumental and vocal solos.
“The music will be varied, the performance will be dazzling, and the singing will be sumptuous. Don’t miss out,” said organiser Dianne Briggs.
“Other performances over the years include Chippenham Male Voice Choir, Bratton Brass Band, a folk group and a bishop!”
The series of concerts follows a successful performance by the The Military Wives Choir. “They provided an excellent evening of entertainment,” said Dianne. “The last two concerts have been a sell-out so make sure you get your tickets early.”
Refreshments are available free of charge, but any donations will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, one of the charities the parish is supporting.
Tickets cost £10, and can be reserved by emailing aswparish@gmail.com. They are also available to buy from Spindles Whitley.
