THE White Hart at Atworth is hosting live music and its first ever charity dog show in the coming weeks, for all the community to get involved with.
This Friday, 19th July, the Corinthian Casuals are returning to the White Hart to get the party started.
Organisers say, “Previously known as The Plebs, Corinthian Casuals are a young blues rock band from North Wiltshire. They provide a refreshing change from the usual rock covers band, playing a mix of blues standards and rock classics from artists such as Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Black Crowes, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
“The Casuals played extensively throughout the last three years at some of the finest live music venues in the area and are continuing to do so in 2010, in Wiltshire and beyond.”
The band will play from 9pm to 11pm.
On Saturday 3rd August, the White Hart is hosting its first ever fun dog show to raise money for the Bowerhill Barkers – a local group trying to raise £55,000 – the lifetime cost of a guide dog for a blind or sight-impaired person.
At the event there will also be live music from Steeple Rocks Choir, a meet and greet with some guide dog puppies, a barbecue from 5-8pm, an outside bar, doggie stalls, and games.
Registration for the dog show starts at 1pm – entry cost £2 per category. The fun and games start at 2pm and runs until 8pm.
