LOCAL charity Group5 is desperately seeking volunteers to help, otherwise it will no longer be able to continue.
For the last 26 years, Group5 has been collecting and distributing furniture and household items to families in Melksham, Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon, Westbury and Warminster.
The items collected range from beds, wardrobes, sofas and bedding to small electrical items such as toasters and kettles – anything to turn a house into a home.
Many families that are provided accommodation cannot afford the cost of furnishing it and so Group5 is there to help.
Like many charities, it is run by volunteers who give up their time freely. Sadly due to the ageing of some those involved, they are desperate for more volunteers. If no further people come forward there is a chance that Group5 will cease to operate. If you can spare some time to help please ring David Gowan 01225 764849.
