THE Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) is inviting new people to join their group to help with a number of projects and to have their say about how to improve the village at the club’s AGM.
The volunteer group works to maintain Bowerhill and improve the area. They are seeking new members for projects including supporting the green areas which they look after and helping with a new wilding area with bulb and wildflower seeding.
They are also looking for volunteers to help on a Tuesday morning at the picnic area by the canal. “This is now a very popular area enjoyed by many but we need more volunteers to help keep it maintained,” explained BRAG secretary, Sue Tweedie.
BRAG is also holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 20th March at the Pilot in the function room upstairs at 7pm and welcomes all residents. Sue said, “Please come and join us and have your say on what you would like changed or enhanced around the village and together we can make a difference in Bowerhill.”
In line with The Great British Spring Clean this year, the group is also hosting their annual litter pick on Sunday 24th March, meeting on the green opposite the Pilot at 10am till 12 noon.
“All are welcome to join in including children and all litter picking kits will be provided,” says Sue. “Any clubs including Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, and Guide groups are very welcome. Contact: 0771 333 3060.”
