A VISITING parkrunner from Redditch, Roland ‘Riggie’ Rignall, is running 40 parkruns in 40 different counties in one weekend for a dog rescue charity and has chosen Melksham’s run to represent Wiltshire.
Over the weekend beginning Friday 20th April, Riggie will run 40 different parkrun routes in 40 different counties to raise money for the Midlands-based dog rescue charity ‘Ruff Luck’. He will be starting at Normanby Hall in Lincolnshire, early morning on the Friday and has chosen Melksham’s parkrun route to represent Wiltshire on the Sunday.
He will be starting the Melksham run at 7.45am on Sunday 22nd April and will run the normal parkrun route.
Colin Goodhind, organiser of Melksham parkrun said, “We would love to see any runners, marshals, dog lovers and anyone who would like to run with him, cheer him on or just watch. It’s a great cause and we would like him to especially remember Melksham!
“Google Melksham parkrun and check out our website and Facebook page for more details and any last-minute changes to the start time. We’re very excited about this and would love you to share the event with us.
“Our normal parkrun will take place as usual on the Saturday, 21st April, starting at 9am.”
