POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a suspected assault in Melksham.
Officers were called to an address on Murray Walk in the town at around 11.30pm on 30th March where a man in his 30s was found with serious head injuries. The man, who is from the town, was taken to Southmead Hospital where he is being treated. Two men, aged 63 and 34, from Melksham have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are currently in custody.
DI Nicki Davey said, “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area of Melksham around this time last night. Perhaps you saw or heard an altercation or know any information. Or, if you were in the vicinity at the relevant time and have dashcam footage from your vehicle – if so please contact us.”
