A pedestrian who died following a collision with a car in Melksham at the weekend has been named.

Thomas Collis, 60, from Melksham, died from the injuries he sustained following the collision on the A350 Beanacre Road at approximately 6pm on Saturday 18 th January.
His family have issued a short statement. They say, “Thomas Collis known locally to his friends and family as Tommy or Tom, will be truly missed by all.”
Following the collision, the road was closed for a number of hours while collision investigation work was carried out.
Police say, “We are appealing for anyone with information, including anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist with our enquiries, to come forward. “If you have any information then please call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 54200006148. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
