The new bowls season is almost here and Broughton Gifford Bowls Club plan to open the green on Monday 16th April at 6.00pm, weather permitting.
The club says, “This is an ideal opportunity to have a little practise before the first game proper which takes place on Thursday 19th.
“Members of the public are invited to come along to the green which is situated in a pretty, tranquil setting just behind the excellent Bell on the Common public house. Our ladies and gentlemen, who come from several nearby towns and villages, will be only too pleased to offer coaching, guidance and answer any questions which may arise. Everybody is welcome to join in and try their hand at this wonderful game.
“We have a full fixture list with friendly, league and cup matches to complete, in what promises to be a busy season.
“All equipment will be supplied on the evening. All we ask is that flat soled footwear is worn. Further details can be obtained from Vince and Sylvia on 01225 783332 or just come along between 6.00-7.30pm.”
