SHOPS in the town centre are encouraging to get decorating as the Christmas Shop Window Display Competition approaches.
Mayor Terri Welch and Town Crier, Peter Dauncey will be judging the best festive window displays in the town centre next week, as the Christmas celebrations get under way in Melksham.
The windows will be judged during the week of Monday 7th December, before the winner is announced later that week and awarded a certificate and plaque at the town council meeting on Monday 14th December.
There is no need to enter the competition as the mayor will judge all the shops in the town centre which have decorated their shop windows for the festive period.
The mayor and Melksham Town Council would like to thank all those shops and businesses in the town who help enhance Melksham’s profile during the festive period.
