MELKSHAM Speakers Club is helping people to find their confidence by encouraging them to get up and speak in front of a group of people.
Sheila Jackson said, “Many people will tell you that there is no such thing as a free lunch, yet one of the members of Melksham Speakers club will disagree because she was invited out to a lunch for her speaking ability, and fascinated a group of people with her knowledge and enthusiasm for her subject.
“Like you, she would not have imaged the opportunities that public speaking can offer, yet she has the confidence, which has been built up over several months, to address a group of people and keep them interested and spellbound.
“Confidence is all that you need and at Melksham Speakers Club we will, with encouragement and support, help you find that confidence for getting up and speaking to a few, or to many.
“We are friendly and supportive and you can practise your skill of speaking in front of us again and again. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Rachel Fowler Centre, Melksham at 7.30pm. The next meeting will be held on 27th March.”
