WITH Melksham Comic-Con event fast approaching, a special art exhibition is currently being held at the Art House Cafe in the Market Place.
The exhibition is showcasing work that will be on show at the Comic-Con event itself on Saturday 31st August.
Melksham Comic-Con is taking place at Melksham Assembly Hall and includes comics books, games, sci-fi and pop culture. Many top names from the world of comic books attend the event and provide advice and question and answer sessions for fans of their work.
Matt Getty from the Comic-Con team said of the art exhibition which is now on display, “The exhibition has been generally well received thus far, though unfortunately two pieces by the same artist were removed because of complaints. Due to these people finding the artwork challenging, the decision was taken to remove the pieces to prevent further complaints. These pieces will still be available to view at the convention itself.”
Tickets are still available for Melksham Comic-Con with advance tickets costing less. Tickets are £5 each, or ‘Team-Up’ tickets allowing four people entry for £16. Under 5s are free when accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
