You may have seen the green and yellow buses around Melksham, indeed you may have ridden on one at some time – but do you really know what these buses are, who runs them, who uses them and what’s on offer?
Melksham Community Bus is a non-profit, registered charity which has been around Melksham for a long time now. Buses are used for various community groups to transport people from home to senior citizen centres for day clubs, to take groups from care homes out for trips, as school buses and for morning shopping trips from Melksham to neighbouring towns.

Day Trips on the Community Bus
Days out are also offered in partnership with the Tourist Information Office in Church Street, Everybody is welcome to come along on these trips.
Pick-ups are available at Atworth, Pig & Whistle, Co-op Blackmore Road, Bowerhill, Melksham Hospital and King Street car park. Starting at 8.45am in Atworth, ending at King St. at 9.30pm.

Shopping with the Community Bus
Weekly shopper buses every Thursday and Friday, you will need to book a place with the Tourist Information Centre on 01225 707424
Morning shopping trips available on Thursdays will take you to Devizes, Chippenham and Trowbridge on alternate weeks.
Every Friday the shopper bus goes to a local supermarket in Melksham.
You can be picked up from home, just ask when booking. These trips are free to those with bus passes. All of the buses are fully accessible and can accommodate wheelchair users.
