MELKSHAM’S Christmas Elves have been busy over the Christmas season spreading festive joy as they have left presents dotted around the town for people to find.
The Melksham Elves are a group of people who secretly do good things. They send cards to people saying such things as thank you, good luck, get well soon and Merry Christmas and they also have been leaving little gifts around the town for people to find.
In a message to the Melksham News an elf said, “Our motto is ‘Kindness is contagious.’ We are trying to promoting love and community spirit and if someone is on the receiving end of a good deed they may well then do something nice for someone else. The Christmas present drop was over the festive period and worked in that if someone sees a present they are welcome to have it, no strings attached. What was inside the presents is always a secret but we are hoping that people only take one and it has a positive effect.”
