A Melksham entrepreneur has shared the secrets behind his success in a new book aimed at helping others break into the property market.
Neil Stewart, a former British Army engineer, has published The Book on UK Property Investing, which sets out seven ways to become a successful investor. The book includes a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Raymond Aaron.
Neil, who served 14 years in the Army as an electronics and telecommunications engineer, turned to business after leaving the forces. He ran a computer consultancy working with the police, schools and local companies before finding his passion in property in 2004.
His first buy-to-let purchase proved life-changing, allowing him to replace his salary within 18 months. Since then, he has built a career in property investment and mentoring, helping others navigate the financial and practical challenges of the market.
Neil said he wanted to create a guide that demystifies property investment. “The book is like having a treasure map to discover the seven awesome ways to invest in property right,” he said. “You might be thinking of becoming a property investor but don’t know where to start, or maybe you’re already on this journey and are just looking for those secret ingredients to spice things up.
“In this book, you’ll get not only the shiny success stories but also those ‘oops’ moments that helped me grow – a real warts-and-all approach.”
The book covers strategies such as buy-to-let, property flipping and houses in multiple occupation with a focus on clear advice and real-life experience.
“It might sound complicated, but trust me, I break it all down into simple everyday language,” he added. “Whether you’re just curious or super serious about diving into property investing, I invite you to grab this book. It’s packed with real stories and lessons on avoiding costly mistakes from someone who’s been in the trenches.
“So, if you’ve ever felt the itch to explore, I promise this journey will be worth taking.”
