Volunteers at Melksham Library have been celebrated for their hard work and dedication as part of Volunteers’ Week.
There are 17 volunteers who give up their free time to help in various roles at the library, based at the Community Campus.
The roles include library support volunteers, a children’s activity volunteer, a reading volunteer who runs a monthly group, and a digital support volunteer. In the team there is also a Duke of Edinburgh library support volunteer.

“We also have a team of wonderful volunteers who support children with the Summer Reading Challenge over the summer holidays every year,” said community library manager Julia Upton.
Over the course of Volunteers’ Week – a UK-wide initiative celebrating the work of volunteers across the country from 2nd to 8th June – Melksham Library shared special posts about each volunteer, giving their thanks, on their Facebook page.

Julia added, “In Melksham, we simply could not provide the service we do without our team of amazing volunteers at Melksham Library. We are so grateful to each and every one of them for their time and outstanding service to the community.”
