Melksham Lions are running Easter events again this year to raise funds for local causes.
First up, the Lions have launched their annual Easter egg raffle, giving residents the chance to win a hamper full of Easter eggs.
Residents can enter the raffle for £1 per square, which can be purchased from local businesses.
Funds raised from the raffle will go to the Bath & Wiltshire Air Ambulance, the Freewheelers (Blood Bikes), and local charities.
The fun doesn’t stop there, as the Lions will also be holding their annual Easter trail in the Market Place on Saturday 19th April from 10am to 3pm. Entry is £2.50 per person, and every entrant will receive an Easter egg.
Director of the Melksham Lions Club, Paul Carter, said, “During the trail, you will see letters signposted throughout the town that will form an Easter-related phrase. Add this to your trail sheet, and you will be entered into a draw to win an additional prize. It’s our intention to notify the additional prize winners on the day.”
To enter the hamper raffle, squares can be bought at the following businesses: Hairtek Harmony; Queensway Nursery; Gonjo Café and Bakehouse; Paul’s Taxi; The Cobbler’s Bench; Glow; Tops Hair Salon and Beauty; Total Carpets; Newman’s Butchers; Meads of Melksham; Mother & Baby Group, Queensway Chapel Buds; Evie’s Café; The Bear; The Grapes; The Pilot; The Pig & Whistle; The Conservative Club; The Liberal Club; The Tavern; The Foresters Arms; The King’s Arms; The Bell on the Common at Broughton Gifford; The Fox & Hounds at Broughton Gifford; Lowden Garden Centre; Peddles, Whitley; The White Hart, Atworth; Build Base; The Garage on the Hill; Leekes; Melksham Motor Spares; and Melksham Tyre Supplies.
