MELKSHAM Lions hosted a children’s Christmas party at Melksham’s temporary accommodation unit on Monday 4th December.
Keith Mead, president of Melksham Lions said, “We hosted a children’s Christmas party at Melksham’s temporary accommodation unit. The children were entertained for the duration of the party by a friend of Melksham Lions – Dave Hickory – a well-known children’s entertainer, magician and balloon man.
“Father Christmas was also able to pop in and hand out a few gift bags to each children. We also laid on a comprehensive food table, which was much appreciated by the children and parents alike.
“At the end of the party the children were given a chocolate selection box, courtesy of Alison Peacock of McCarthy & Stone Retirement Lifestyles Ltd.”
