Born and raised in Melksham, lifelong resident Hamza Uddin has launched his own estate agency with a simple aim – to deliver a more personal and effective way of buying and selling property.
Hamza is now operating as Hamza Uddin EXP – Your Local Property Expert, part of the EXP network, the largest estate agency network in the UK.
Through this partnership, Hamza can help clients not only in Melksham, but also across the country and even internationally.
“I’ve always believed in building relationships based on trust and communication,” he said. “Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions people make and can be a really stressful time. That’s why I go above and beyond to make sure every client feels supported and guided through every step of the process. It’s about genuine care and delivering results.
“My aim is to make sure everything runs smoothly as possible and to handle any red flags along the way. Pricing the property is key, and I work hard to achieve, and often exceed the asking prices for my clients.”
Hamza is well-known locally and many will recognise him from his family’s long-running restaurant, The Refa Tandoori in the Market Place which has served the community for more than 35 years. He says the same principles that built the restaurant’s reputation – service, trust and consistency – are also at the heart of his new business.
Hamza trained for two years with a leading Andrews Estate Agents in Bath before becoming a self-employed agent last year.
“I sold over £5million in property transactions last year and that’s what has prompted me to set up my own estate agency,” he said. “I limit myself to working with around 12 to 15 properties at a time so I can offer each client my full attention. From the very first valuation to the final completion, I personally handle every deal. And I’m available any day, any time, because I understand that property decisions don’t always fit neatly into office hours.”
In addition to a hands-on approach, Hamza uses modern digital tools to market his listings – including professional video tours, social media campaigns and creative online content designed to reach the widest possible audience.
“My listings are designed to stand out, reach more buyers and generate more interest, which ultimately means better results for sellers,” he said. “I aim to bring a fresh, modern and even humorous touch to my content, making property marketing more engaging, more human and far more shareable than the traditional approach.
“Melksham isn’t just my market. It’s my home. I’m proud to help local people take the next step in their property journey with someone who truly understands both the market and the community.”
