A group of martial arts practitioners from all over the country including Melksham went to Stonehenge for what has become an annual pilgrimage.
Wiltshire Martial Arts hosted a Systema Training Session in the centre circle of Stonehenge – a place that is not normally open to the public. Systema is an ancient Russian Martial Art and Health System that is unique in being not only an effective self defence method but also a healing system.
Matt Hill from Melksham, the chief instructor said, “It was great this year to see a mix of age ranges and ability levels. This has become representative of the school in Melksham where people of all ages from five to people in their 60’s and 70’s come to get stronger, fitter, healthier, more mobile and more confident in a fun, relaxed and completely unique way. At its basic level you could almost call it exercise for those who don’t like exercise!”
Anyone interested in training should contact google Wiltshire Martial Arts for more information on class times or contact Matt on 07584 025206.
