Melksham men crowned skittles pairs champions

Two Melksham men helped Wiltshire bring home a haul of trophies after winning the Men’s Pairs title at a national skittles tournament.

Ady Skinner and Phil Webb were crowned champions at the fourth Serious About Events Skittles Extravaganza, held in Torquay from 25th to 27th September.

Ady also finished runner-up in the Men’s Singles competition, taking home a second trophy from the weekend.

More than 250 players from across the country competed in team, singles and pairs events.

The team title also went to Trowbridge for the second consecutive year.

Organiser and company director Rachel Hosking said, “Wiltshire certainly made its mark this year, with success across the team, singles and pairs competitions and more trophies going back to the county than anywhere else.”
