Melksham Motor Spares sponsors 20th anniversary Party in the Park

Melksham Motor Spares is one of the sponsors of Melksham’s Party in the Park at King George V Playing Field, to be held in on Saturday 20th July, where the event will be celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The leading automotive parts distributor says they will proudly be displaying its branding on banners at the venue, and the team will also be in attendance with its own gazebo to raise awareness of the local business. They say, “Visitors to the MMS stand can enjoy giveaways, plus the chance to win prizes and test their driving skills on a racing simulator!”

Since it started in 2000, Melksham Party in the Park has grown over the years to become a highly popular fixture on the calendar, attended by hundreds of families from across the region, as well as further afield. This year, as it celebrates its 20th year, organisers are hoping to draw one of the biggest crowds ever seen at the park.

This year’s anniversary PITP headliners are the top Take That four-piece tribute act Take@That and Bootleg Barlow, Dean Barrett. Their show will take party goers on a journey from the early 1990s, covering classics such as Pray, Back for Good and Never Forget through to the band’s reunion in 2006, covering more recent hits including Greatest Day, Shine and Rule the World.

They continue, “MMS has long been a champion of the local community. The factor celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, raising £17,500 for charity from various fundraising activities held throughout 2018, including £900 from a charity cycle ride around Castle Combe race circuit involving staff and their families and friends.”

Melksham’s Party in the Park will be held at King George V Playing Field, Lowbourne, Melksham, Wiltshire SN12 7DZ which is close to Melksham town centre and is easily accessible off the A3102 (Melksham to Calne road). The gates open at 1pm and the event runs through to 10.30pm.
