THE countdown is on for Melksham Music and Drama’s performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
The show will run from Thursday 14th September to Saturday 16th September, at the Melksham Assembly Hall with shows at 7.30pm plus a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
“Joseph is a much-loved family classic featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and we’re delighted to be able to stage it right here in Melksham; it should be a fabulous show!” said MMAD chairman Geoff Mitcham.
“It features iconic pop and musical classics known around the world including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door and Go Go Joseph.
“Rehearsals are going well and all costumes are ready and now all we need is an audience!”
Melksham Music and Drama acquired a license to perform the show in 2019 but due to the Covid-19 lockdowns, they had to cancel the performance. “Luckily, we were offered the licence again and now have a chance in a lifetime to put on this fantastic show,” added Geoff.
Tickets cost £12 adult; children and concessions £9 (£14/£11 on the door) available from Melksham Tourist Information Centre in Church Street or Ticket Source at www. ticketsource.co.uk/MMAD
