THE upcoming Melksham Music Festival has received a financial boost from global giants Carlsberg, with a £1,000 donation towards the two-day event.
Representatives from the Melksham Music Festival committee met with Carlsberg sales development manager, Dave Litt, at Box Steam Brewery in Holt last week to celebrate the sponsorship – the second time the company has donated to the event.
Member of the Melksham Music Festival committee, Tom Sangster said, “On behalf of the festival, I would like to say thank you to Carlsberg for their support and would like to recognise the support they gave us last year too, we are very grateful.
“Box Steam Brewery, who will be providing a licensed bar over the two days, have been instrumental in helping to set up this sponsorship from Carlsberg – so thank you to them too.”
Melksham Music Festival incorporates the new event ParkFest, which takes place on Friday 20th July, and the annual Party in the Park, which will be held the following day, on Saturday 21st July.
ParkFest will feature music from The Oasis Experience and support band Local Heroes. Acts lined up for Party in the Park include headline act The Bootleg Bee Gees and side shows from the Parrots Rescue Team and Ferret World Roadshow.
