A MISTAKE was made in issue 721 of Melksham News, in the story about the retirement of Melksham Oak’s headteacher, Stephen Clark, titled ‘Oak head announces retirement’.
It was incorrectly reported that last year’s Ofsted report rated Melksham Oak as ‘inadequate’.
The school was rated as ‘requires improvement’, a step above the grade reported in the story.
Melksham News would like to apologise to Stephen Clark and the school’s staff and students for the mistake and for any inconvenience caused.
