Melksham Open Gardens are looking for 2015 entires in the run up to July’s competition.
Organiser Lesley Windebank said, “As ever we are looking for more gardens and gardeners to join in. This is going to be the 16th time this event has taken place and it gives great pleasure to visitors who come from far and wide to see the gardens, and raises a lot of money for The Children’s Society.”
All the arrangements will be made by the local committee of The Children’s Society including publicity, insurance, teas and ticket sales. If you would like to take part or need some more information please contact Lesley on 01225 790639 or Trish Gater on 01225 708604.
Lesley added, “We usually have 10 or 12 gardens of various types and sizes from small cottage to large rambling. So why not let others enjoy and admire all the hard work you put into your garden.”
Open Gardens is a scheme that has been tried in many towns and villages and brings great pleasure to garden lovers, at the same time raising money for charity.
