THE SEVENTH Melksham parkrun took place in King George V Park last Saturday and over 100 people ran, jogged and walked the course in light drizzle.
Colin Goodhind, organiser of the parkrun said, “It’s absolutely free, open to everyone and made possible by volunteers. Anyone interested can get a feel of what parkrun is about by visiting www.parkrun.org.uk/ melksham/ where you can register to run, help or both. Take a look at the photos too!
“The setting up of Melksham parkrun was supported by Melksham Town and Melksham Without Parish councils along with Melksham’s Community Area Board (Wiltshire Council) and also generous donations locally from Buildbase, A.B. Gerrish and Artisan Hire. The support of CooperTires in allowing us to cross land they own, as well as use of their car park on Saturday mornings is much appreciated.”
