Three e-bikes, around £2,400 in cash and £2,500 worth of cannabis were seized during a weekend of proactive policing in Melksham.
The operation on Friday 27th March involved 15 officers from Melksham and Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Teams, the Response Team, the Drone Unit and Roads Policing officers.
Five stop-and-searches were carried out on people behaving suspiciously. Four arrests were made for driving offences and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
Three properties were searched, including one in Bowerhill, leading to further arrests. Six mobile phones were also seized as part of the investigation.
Two men were arrested for dangerous driving and drug supply offences, linked to a Melksham address where further evidence of drug activity was found. The tenant of the property was also arrested. All three have been released on bail with conditions, including not wearing balaclavas in public.

Another e-bike incident on Sunday 29th March led to a further arrest on suspicion of drug supply, with the rider also released on bail under similar conditions.
Sgt Charly Chilton said, “We know from reports by the public that Melksham has been affected by youths on electric bikes, wearing balaclavas, with some suggestion of open drug supply.
“This has understandably caused concern in the community. I’d like to thank residents for providing the information that helped us catch these potential suspects. We will continue to tackle this dangerous and unlawful behaviour and the drugs linked to it.”
Police are urging anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it via their website, by calling 101, or in an emergency by dialling 999. Reports can also be made anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
