MELKSHAM site manager Mark Damerell is celebrating after beating 15,000 entrants to win a ‘Pride in the Job Quality Award’ from the National House-Building Council (NHBC).
Mark lives in Melksham and works for residential developers Taylor Wimpey. He is currently the site manager of the Weavers Gate development on Sandridge Common.
The award, which is judged throughout the working year, recognises Mark’s dedication to building high-quality homes for new homebuyers, and gives purchasers the assurance that the development provides top-quality properties and excellent customer service.
Mark said, “I’m delighted to have won a quality award – it’s a great honour not just for me but the whole team at Weavers Gate. They all work incredibly hard and take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.”
He will now progress to the regional heats of the competition this autumn.
Keith Simmons, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey said, “Mark’s quality award is thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting him as he progresses through to the regional heats and hopefully to the grand final in London.”
Taylor Wimpey is one of the largest residential developers in the UK, and says it is committed to health and safety, environmental sustainability, providing excellent customer service and engaging with local communities.
