After the summer break Melksham Speakers commences again on 10th September at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm.
The last year was another year of members’ achievements including one member going for an interview and being given moments to prepare a presentation. They succeeded in giving an excellent presentation in the time allowed and got the job. Another, being unhappy in a work situation, requested a meeting with the management and put forward a sound and logical presentation of the situation that they were in. The result was a movement to another team, with challenging work and being much happier with their job prospects.
Melksham Speakers Club has not only equipped them with the skills to achieve their aims, but has allowed them to have the courage to put themselves forward in a confident manner, which by doing so, has given them opportunity to prove their self worth and use their skills for the benefit of their employers and themselves. With hard work they have made their dreams come true. Confidence is one of the key factors of improving your life at home, socially and in your chosen career. Confidence keeps you calm in a crisis and stops you from losing your temper, because you engage your mind before your mouth.
At Melksham Speakers we give you lots of support to enable you to gain that confidence and make your wildest of dreams come true. Standing up and speaking in front of a few or a crowd is always daunting, but feel the fear and do it anyway and surprise yourself in what you can achieve.
