For a third season, Melksham transport company A.B. Gerrish Ltd has sponsored Chippenham Sunday League team Miller Sports FC.
Mike Stevens who runs the club said, “Their support has meant that in a time when local clubs are struggling not only financially but with players, we have managed to reduce both signing on fees and match day fees, to make it more affordable to play.
“The cost of pitches is increasing year on year and although sport within the community should be an easy option, it is harder for people to afford to do the things they love, so having a local family firm support you in this way is fantastic. We are always looking for support in any way and as we run two teams, we are always looking for new players.”
