LOCAL charity, Melksham Trust are appealing for new members to save the trust from closure.
At the Melksham Trust AGM on 5th December it was agreed to consider winding up the Trust due to falling membership.
The Melksham Trust was formed in 1985 as a company limited by guarantee and later as a registered charity. Its tasks over the years have been to consider development in conservation areas and protect listed buildings.
Currently the Trust strongly supports the Wilts & Berks Canal scheme and is commenting on the Market Place and Campus plans for the town, 140 residents supported the Trust’s petition over these proposals.
