WORK by Melksham’s Christmas Lights volunteers is gathering pace in time for this year’s switch on.
Volunteers were seen around the town centre up ladders at the weekend dressing shop front’s with festive lights.
The Big Switch On of the lights will be on Saturday 4th December when revellers can also enjoy the annual Christmas fayre in the Market Place and Assembly Hall.
There will be a variety of stalls including gifts, handicrafts, tombolas and raffles, food, live music, children’s fairground rides and games. Father Christmas will also be in his grotto at the Town Hall, ready to meet the children of Melksham.
The Fayre will be open from 1pm to 5.45pm, with the much celebrated Melksham Christmas Lights being switched on at 6pm.
