Saturday 26th October. Bideford 1-2 Melksham Town
Saturday 2nd November. Melksham Town 0-1 Evesham
It has been a mixed bag for Melksham Town over the past fortnight with an away win and a home defeat.
On Saturday 26th October, Town returned home from North Devon with three points following a 2-1 win at Bideford. Goals from Jake Andrews from the penalty spot and a Henry Sady strike ensured a happy coach trip home.
Last Saturday, Evesham left Oakfield Stadium with a 1-0 away win with a goal mid-way through the first half.
“Melksham peppered the away goal but a shortage of good fortune and some strong defending saw our opponents take all the points,” said manager Mark Collier. “Town’s players were given an ovation from the strong 350 attendance who recognised our efforts in game we really deserved to get something from.”
Town are currently sitting in tenth place on 18 points from 10 games, six points off Bashley in fifth but with four games in hand.
This week they travel to Salisbury to take on much improved Bemerton who sit one place below Town having won four of their last five games.
