24 MORE homes could be built on Sandridge Common, as developers seek permission to build a new estate along the road from Weavers Gate.
The application, lodged recently to follow outline permission granted in May this year, shows plans to construct a cul-de-sac at the end of the new Fieldfare Way, backing onto the main road.
The build would involve demolishing the existing house at 303 Sandridge Common, and erecting the proposed homes on the 1.3 acre site.
Neither Melksham nor Melksham Without council expressed any objections to the application.
However, a handful of residents have objected to the size of the proposed buildings and their being out of keeping with the area, as well as increased traffic adding to that from the Weavers Gate development.
The estate would include a mix of small flats, two and three-bed terraced houses, and four bed houses.
Public consultation ended on Friday 9th October, but to see the full plans and comments search 15/08660/REM in Wiltshire Council’s planning search at www.wiltshire .gov.uk.
