MELKSHAM’S Mr Christmas joined legendary DJ, Tony Blackburn, live on air last week to spread more festive joy to the nation.
Local man Andy Park, who celebrates Christmas every day of the year, appeared on Tony Blackburn’s BBC Radio Berkshire show on Friday 8th December.
“It has always been a dream of mine to meet Tony Blackburn. I’ve listened to him on the radio since I was a little kid,” said Andy.
“I joined him on his show and played my record ‘It’s Christmas Every Day’, which was a hit about eight years ago. I’ve re-worked it slightly to update it and listeners of the show said that they liked it. Tony plans to continue playing the song in the run up to Christmas.
“I also showed him the latest issue of the Melksham News and he said it was a lovely paper and that it looks far too good for someone like him to appear in. So I’ll make sure to send him a copy to prove him wrong!”
