Join Melksham Carnival committee at the Assembly Hall on Friday 23rd October for an evening of fun, fashion and music.
The committee has organised ‘From Rags to Tags’ an evening to raise money to help towards future carnival processions.
They say, “Enjoy entertainment by the talented students from the West Wilts School of Performing Arts, see displays from local fashion stores such as The Original Factory Shop, Sainsbury’s and Belle of the Ball Bridals.
“There will also be a selection of ‘wearable art’ created by members of Wiltshire College and local artists. The creations are made from everyday items and are sure to impress.”
Former Carnival Queen Michelle Brightwell said, “We have such a fantastic array of unusual ideas in the mix and it looks like it will be a fantastic evening for everyone.”
Beth Dark, carnival committee member added, “This is yet another fun family/friendly and affordable event which we are sure everyone will enjoy.”
There will be hot food available throughout the evening and the event will finish with a family disco. Doors will open at 6.30pm with tickets priced at £3 for an adult, £2 for a child and under 3s free of charge.
Tickets will be available soon from Honeys, Candy Jax and Andy York Photography so keep your eyes on the Melksham News and the Melksham Carnival Facebook page for the announcement.
