THE White Hart in Atworth has a whole host of live music events planned in the coming weeks to get you up on your feet dancing the night away.
This Saturday, 7th July, the pub’s annual charity music festival, @FEST, returns to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice – and organisers are hoping to smash last year’s total of £1,462.
Running from 1pm – 10pm, the event features a host of local bands including Lighten’ Hobos, Dirty Public, Corinthian Casuals, Blue Dog, Panama and headliners Burlington Underground, who take to the stage from 8pm.
Burlington Underground are described as one of the best cover bands in the local area, taking festival-goers on a journey through 70s soul and funk, to 80s pop, right up to current day dance and rock. A mix of music that is guaranteed to get you up and moving.
There will also be an all-day barbecue, an outside bar that will give 10% of their takings to Dorothy House, children’s activities, and much, much more!
The local church will also be there, providing ice creams and ice lollies to raise money for church funds and the Brownies group will provide games and face painting.
The event is both child and dog friendly, and people of all ages are welcome. So make sure you put this Saturday, 7th July, in the diary and get ready to dance the day away.
On Thursday 12th July, the White Hart will be hosting its new ‘Open Mic and Jam’ night with Wiltshire band the ‘Jambalaya Experience’.
Organisers say, “All musicians and all genres are welcome. Any appreciative live music audiences is welcome also. PA and mixer supplied – bring your own leads and bring your own kit if you want.”
