Shaw’s popular concert series continues later this month with a performance from Four Across, promising an evening of barber shop classics and more.
The concert takes place on Friday, 29th May, at 7.30pm, at Christ Church, Shaw.
Four Across is made up of Alex, George, Josh and Chris, all military musicians who also enjoy singing together in their spare time. Their programme will include barber shop classics, pop, jazz, musical theatre arrangements and classical close harmony.
There will also be music from a brass trio, a piano duet or two, and a chance to hear Alex, a Cambridge organ scholar graduate, put the church organ through its paces.
One of the organisers, Dianne Briggs, said the church’s concerts have continued to attract strong support and that the Four Across appearance has been eagerly awaited following Chris and Alex’s popular concert last year.
The concert follows another well-received evening at Shaw church, where the Bath Light Operatic Group performed a theatrical programme of songs from the shows last month.
Tickets at £10 are available from Spindles, Whitley, or by reservation via aswparish@gmail.com.
