November at The Art House Cafe sees its walls covered in the work of Melksham residents Paul & Dilys Fisher.
Paul’s paintings cover a wide range of subjects from scenes of Venice and coastal towns in the UK to portraits of dancers and animals. Paul has painted for around 10 years and currently does demonstrations to local art groups on water colour techniques.
Dilys is showing examples of her enamelling work which uses the traditional method of kiln firing. The exhibition shows a number of the techniques that can be done and the range of subjects it can be used for. Dilys who is also a tutor of this craft is keen to keep the traditional methods alive.
Dilys will be in the cafe on Tuesday 18th and Tuesday 25th November from 10am to 11.30am when she will happily chat to people over a coffee about enamelling. She will also have some smaller items to show which are not suitable for hanging on walls.
