BROUGHTON Gifford Parish Council has filled its vacancy by co-opting local woman Claire Johnson onto the council.
Claire will fill the vacancy announced in January this year. Councillor Martin Freeman said, “Claire has lived in the village with her husband, PJ, since April 2011. She has a passion for people and the community and is an active participant in village events.
“As her ‘day job,’ she works as a client account director within the charity sector. She is always happy to roll her sleeves up and get stuck in. We are delighted that Claire is joining our team and look forward to working with her.”
