THE Pilot in Bowerhill has had a new lease of life after new managers took over the pub.
Nick and Debbie Mann have brought a wealth of experience to the Pilot having worked in the industry in Cirencester for around 25 years.
Since they took over, the couple have put their mark on the pub by introducing a new food menu, making the pub more family-friendly and targetting a wider range of the community.
Nick said, “The offer to come to Bowerhill and work in the Pilot was too good. It’s a nice pub, nice people, nice area and a challenge we wanted to take on.
“We wanted to make the pub the hub of the village where people could get together and enjoy friendly surroundings with lots going on and I think we are doing that!
“We recently introduced food and that has gone down very well, particularly four roast dinners for £20 on Sundays which is great.
“The feedback we have had from customers and those in the community is fantastic. We have so many people coming in saying they are returning because of the nice atmosphere in the pub now and that’s the way we want to keep it.
“We are looking at doing a wider range of events with more tastes in live music covered, as well as our popular bingo night on a Monday and quiz night on a Thursday.
“One of the things I am most looking forward to is introducing themed food nights such as curry night or steak night. I think that will go down really well with the customers.”
