MELKSHAM Town FC has found two local businesses to sponsor their main spectator stands at the InfiLED Arena at Oakfields.
The support from Aaron and Jonathon Bewley from AJB Funerals and Melksham Tyre Supplies has been praised by club chairman Darren Perrin as “much-needed” during a “difficult” time caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Aaron Bewley from AJB Funerals, said, “We’re honoured to be able to participate and give something back to the local community. We do pride ourselves on supporting grassroots sports – we do it here in Melksham as well as Corsham and Chippenham at various different clubs. And when the opportunity came up here, we jumped at it.
“We’re very much looking forward to watching some Melksham Town games this year.”
James Love from Melksham Tyre Supplies said, “We’ve supported the club for many years as a family business in a small way – but it’s great to have this opportunity to be more involved as it is such a fantastic facility here, and we’re proud to be supporting it.
“I have two sons who play for the youth team, they get so much fun and enjoyment out of the club – so it’s great to be part of it and get our name out there.”
Chair of Melksham Town Football Club, Darren Perrin added, “We’re delighted to be involved with AJB Funerals and Melksham Tyre Supplies.
“Their mich-needed support helps to enhance us as a football club and a community club in Melksham.
“It’s fantastic that more businesses are still supporting us in these very difficult times – it has been horrendous, not just for us, but for everybody. But the support we have had from local businesses has been truly incredible and we are thankful for each one.
“We look forward to working with both companies moving forward, and we’re delighted for them to join the Black and Yellow family.”
