MELKSHAM Music and Drama are busy rehearsing for their pantomime Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs directed by Donna Ruderman and produced by Joeanne Londors which will be performed in February.
The pantomime, written by David Crump and Paul Simcox, tells the story of Red Riding Hood’s evil stepmother Ursula, who is keen to rid herself of Granny and Red, so that she can inherit Granny’s fortune. She recruits the Big Bad Wolf (who is busy trying to capture the Three Little Pigs), to help her and chaos ensues.
“Along the way we meet Bark and Trunk the incompetent woodcutters, Will the woodcutter- a principal boy, Fin the pig farmer who is in love with Red and Derek, Rodney and Albert Trotter the Three Little Pigs,” says Joeanne.
The show will be performed at the Rachel Fowler Centre from Thursday 15th to Saturday 24th February. Evening performances start at 7:30pm with matinees on both Saturdays starting at 2:30pm; doors will open half an hour before the show starts.
Tickets are on sale from Wednesday 15th November. £8 per adult and £6 per concession; these can be purchased through Ticket Source: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/mmad/ or Melksham Tourist Information Centre in Church Street.
“We hope to see you there!” says Joeanne.
