A daytime disco is being held next month, offering a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for older adults aged 55+ to enjoy music from the 60s through to the 80s, get active and connect with others.
The event, on Friday 10th October, is being held at Melksham Assembly Hall from 2pm to 4pm and is free for people to attend.
Highlights will include music from across the decades, a licenced bar, plus free tea, coffee and squash, space for people to relax and an opportunity for fun, movement, and social connection.
Tracey Jones, activity service lead for Age UK Wiltshire, which is organising the event in partnership with Get Out Get Active, said, “It’s a brilliant way to support both physical activity and mental wellbeing. No booking is required, making it easy and stress-free to attend.
“Events like this reduce loneliness, improve mood and encourage healthy, active ageing.”
