Melksham opticians Specsavers are holding a tuckshop tombola to raise money for Alzheimer’s Support, a Wiltshire-based charity which works to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their loved ones.
Staff have donated all kinds of sweet treats towards a tombola, which is currently running at the Melksham store.
For just a £1 donation, visitors to the store can have three goes on the tuckshop tombola for the chance to win cakes, biscuits, sweets and more.
“We’d like to encourage everyone to make a donation for a ticket for our tombola and show their support for this fantastic charity,” said store director Alice Cole. “We’ve chosen to raise money for Alzheimer’s Support as they are a local charity who do such amazing work for those living with dementia.”
Alzheimer’s Support provides a range of practical services to enhance life and promote independence for those living at home with dementia in Wiltshire and for their family carers. The charity supports 2,500 people every year, by offering specialist advice, running award-winning day clubs and activity groups and providing emotional support for family carers.
