Lowbourne Osteo-paths are pleased to welcome physiotherapist Kate Charlesworth to the team, which already includes osteopaths, an acupuncturist, a counsellor and a reflexologist.
Kate specialises in women’s health and continence issues and will be available to see patients on Thursday afternoons and Monday evenings.
Kate qualified as a physiotherapist in 1989 so has many years of experience to draw on. She has worked at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, at Frome Victoria Hospital treating the elderly and in the physiotherapy department, where she developed her interest in women’s health.
More recently she has been working at CircleBath Hospital involved in setting up their women’s health and hydrotherapy services, and at Chippenham Community Hospital running the women’s health and continence service. Kate is also an advisor on the Bladder and Bowel Foundation charity helpline.
She sees women with a range of gynaecological conditions and obstetric patients with pelvic girdle pain and muscle rehabilitation needs. Her approach is functional, practical and focused on meeting the patient’s treatment needs, enabling the patient to feel informed and empowered during recovery.
Kate enjoys cycling and running so you may see her out and about around Melksham. She is a member of a women’s cricket team and sings in a Capella group. At home she is kept busy with her family and chickens.
If you would like to book an appointment with Kate please call 01225 704883 or you can chat to her first on 07722 299851.
