FOUR friends from Melksham held a beauty day at The Kings Arms to raise money for Cancer Research.
The ‘Beauty By Donation’ fundraiser was a full day of beauty pampering with women getting their nails painted and eyebrows shaped, all to raise money for the charity.
Sophie Drewitt who helped organise the day said, “It was a great day and we had treatments booked in right up until 5pm! We’ve been running a raffle for the past few weeks with anyone donating via our online charity page being entered into the raffle for a chance to win an amazing hamper, kindly donated by House of Fraser in Bristol.
“We would like to say thank you to everyone who came along and supported the day and also to The Kings Arms for letting us use a room at the pub for free.
“We have raised £500 already from the online page so if we could reach £1,000, that would be amazing.
“Cancer Research UK is a charity close to our hearts. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer so we would like to raise as much money as possible.”
