A LIVE music and family fun day at the Pilot in Bowerhill has raised over £3,500 for two local charities – RUHX (formerly RUH Forever Friends) and Wiltshire Mind.
“The day went really well, the sun shone and it was an amazing atmosphere,” said organiser Tracie Winslow.
“We had a raffle, tombola, children’s stalls, glitter tattoos and festival hair which was a big hit, along with live music. It was fantastic to raise such a huge amount of money.
“The performers who gave their time were Maxwell Walters, Chloe Brewer, Richard Onyett, Becky Lawrence, Chris Tweedie, The Sylvertones, The Rider, Darklight Horizon, Sonic Alert, Charmaigne and Band X, so massive thanks to them, Sam and all the staff at the Pilot and everyone else who helped.
“Wiltshire MIND and RUHX are charities close to my heart.
“My friend, Nic Robertson, died of cervical cancer 10 years ago and I’d promised her I would continue to raise money in her memory.”
