Wiltshire Police are calling for witnesses or anyone who has information to come forward after an elderly man was mugged outside of Sainsbury’s at the end of last month.
The man, who is in his 80s, said he was approached by a woman at around 2.30pm on Saturday 28th September, claiming to be collecting money for charity.
A statement from Wiltshire Police said, “He gave her some cash and she grabbed him into a hug.
“After entering the store and when trying to pay for his shopping he realised that around £60 was missing.
“The woman is described as a white woman, around 5ft 6ins tall of a slim build. She was wearing a big dark coat, a head scarf, and a face mask.
