FOREST and Sandridge CE Primary School has been awarded the Religious Education Quality Mark (REQM), that acknowledges and celebrates outstanding RE in schools and recognises those who are making a difference to learners.
It is the second time that the school has applied for the award and to make it even more special, they have achieved the highest level of gold.
The team at REQM works with schools to see what pupils enjoy about religious education and what could make it even better.
A REQM assessor said, “It is a pleasure to see how high profile RE is within Forest and Sandridge CE Primary School. It was good to see how pupils, parents, governors and Senior Leadership Team are all so invested in the RE that takes place within the school. The subject leader’s drive and ambition was clear as was her passion for the subject and her constant drive to improve the already outstanding practice.”
